Title IX protects every student's right to education opportunities and benefits free from sex discrimination. The US Department of Education ("US ED") Secretary of Education has released final regulations which will govern Title IX requirements pertaining to how schools, including K-12 schools, must respond to incidents of sexual harassment in order to prevent sex discrimination. 20 U.S.C. 1681 et seq., Title IX of the Education amendments Act of 1972.

Title IX is the most commonly used name for the federal civil rights law in the United States that was enacted as part of the Education Amendments of 1972.  It prohibits sex-based discrimination in any school or any other education program that receives funding from the federal government.

NCP Policies

In compliance with the requirements of Title IX, 34 C.F.R. 106.45 ()(10), North Central Community School Corporation has provided required training to all Title IX personnel including the District’s Title IX Coordinator(s), Investigator(s),Decision-Marker(s), and Facilitator(s) on August 7, 2023.
The Title IX Compliance Overview course was completed on the Vector Solutions Training.
